ASTM International has published a new Standard for the application of Process Compensated Resonance Testing (PCRT): Standard Practice E3081-16 for Outlier Screening Using PCRT via Swept Sine Wave Input for Metallic and Non-Metallic Parts. The standard describes the process for applying PCRT in an Outlier Screening mode to detect parts that show a significant resonance frequency difference from normal production or in-service parts.
