Supply Chain Specialist   

We are looking for a highly motivated and detailed orientated Supply Chain Specialist for our Accounting team working closely with our Manufacturing and Service Team. You will be a part of a group responsible for the purchasing of inventory and non-inventory components for our customized NDT inspection test cells manufactured in Albuquerque, NM and the related shipping and receiving activities. Our PCRT inspections are critical to the safety and integrity of aircraft landing systems, automotive sub systems, and other applications.

Responsibilities

  • Ordering components from approved vendors to maintain defined inventory levels or per
    specific BOMs.
  • Work with Engineering on updating BOMs with supplier information.
  • Request quotes and follow up with vendors to receive quotes timely.
  • Evaluate Purchasing Requisitions to ensure compliance with Quality Management Procedures.
  • Distribute Purchasing Requisitions for approval.
  • Place and Track Purchase Orders to ensure on time delivery.
  • Work with subject matter experts on finding and qualification of new vendors
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels including regular inventory counts and staying above defined minimum levels.
  • Involved in the required packing and crating activities for national and international shipments.
  • Receive and organize shipments with standard carriers like FedEx and UPS as well as being the main contact for our freight forwarders for special shipments for national and international customers and suppliers including required documentation.
  • Verify and document that content of shipments is complete and in good order.
  • Process customer standard spare part orders from order acknowledgement to sending out tracking information.
  • Knowledgeable and following SDS requirements for HazMat (only for very limited applications)
  • Writing work instructions to help standardize processes and develop backup coverage.
  • Following and supporting improvements of our procedures per our AS9100 Quality management system.
  • Balancing cost and schedule requirements.
  • Work flexibly in a small business environment.
  • Normal work hours are 8 am to 5 pm on Monday through Friday at our Albuquerque facility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Requirements and Skills

  • US Citizenship required, as Vibrant’s work includes DoD-funded and export-controlled projects.
  • Ability to adhere to a DoT/FAA drug and alcohol testing program
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Usage of a standard Windows system computer with MS Office
  • Working with an ERP system (Sage, SAP, Oracle or similar)
  • Experience with Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) like Fiix desirable
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to drive a forklift (training and certification will be provided)
  • 3 to 5 Year experience with supply chain activities from ordering, inventory management to shipping and receiving activities including international shipments
