Worldwide leader in aerospace manufacturing, Boeing; along with, University of Sheffield’s internationally-acclaimed Advanced Manufacturing Research Center (AMRC) and North America’s premier metalworking technology magazine, Modern Machine Shop (MMS), have announced a pioneering display partnership that will bring the future of advanced manufacturing technology to the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) September 8-13, 2008, at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

The “Advanced Manufacturing Center” at IMTS 2008 will enable attendees to experience the companies and technologies that are shaping tomorrow’s manufacturing products and processes, today. The collaborative display will showcase a Boeing 787 Dreamliner interior; parts display and process presentation by Boeing Phatom Works; ten “disruptive” technologies from innovative manufacturing suppliers; and, media displays from Modern Machine Shop and the University of Sheffield’s AMRC.

Presented by the Association for Manufacturing Technology, the International Manufacturing Technology Show is one the largest industrial tradeshows in the world. The biennial event covers more than 1.2 million square feet and averages over 90,000 registrants and 1,500 exhibiting companies representing 120 countries. This year’s International Manufacturing Technology Show will be held September 8-13, 2008, at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
